Summer of HPC 2017: Applications are now open

Applications are open from 11th of January to 19th of February 2017.

Summer of HPC is a PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe)  programme that offers summer placements at Cineca or other HPC centres across Europe. Up to 20 top applicants from across Europe will be selected to participate. Participants will spend two months working on projects related to PRACE technical or industrial work to produce a visualisation or video. The programme will run from July 1st, to August 31th.

Cineca will host 2 students

The 2017 projects at Cineca are:

• Web visualization of Energy load of an HPC system
• Web visualization of the Mediterranean Sea

Travel, accommodation & living costs will be provided in the form of a stipend; all you need to bring is your interest in computing and some enthusiasm!
Prizes will be awarded for the two best participants.

Applications are welcome from all disciplines. Some coding knowledge is a prerequisite but the most important attribute is a desire to learn, and share, more about HPC.
