At the beginning of this year, a number of institutions from Europe and from Latin America launched the RISC project with the aim of supporting the coordination of supercomputing research between and across Europe and Latin America. The project is supported by DG CONNECT of the European Commission, and is extremely relevant not only for supercomputing professionals, but for all stakeholders dealing with international research, since high capacity computing is increasingly being used in all science domains internationally.
Following a year of intense work, during which we have mobilised the energies of some key research stakeholders from both Europe and Latin America, we are pleased to inform you that the results and outputs of RISC work are now available. During this first year of activities the consortium has come up with several key outcomes that have sought for joint, effective and sustainable solutions to major high-performance computing (HPC) challenges in order to push forward the collaboration between the European and Latin American HPC community. The set of results ranges from policy recommendations to technical findings.
You are welcome to explore and download our results here: http://www.risc-project.eu/results/deliverables.
RISC is interested in further enriching its findings and in establishing collaborations with any research organisation: please feel free to contact us if you want to collaborate with us or if you want to know more about our work.
