This call for proposals targets the augmentation of the application experiments currently being carried out within Fortissimo 2 and Fortissimo focusing on modelling and simulation of coupled phenomena and high-performance data analytics and in all cases targeting benefits for engineering and manufacturing SMEs and mid-caps.

From May 10-12 2016, PRACE will organise the third edition of its Scientific and Industrial Conference – PRACEdays16 – under the motto HPC for Innovation: when Science meets Industry in Prague, Czech Republic.
The conference will bring together experts from academia and industry who will present their advancements in HPC-supported science and engineering.
Registration is open until 29 April

The EuHIT School on Turbulence provides young researchers an opportunity for attending high quality lectures on fluid dynamics experimental techniques, numerical methods in fluid dynamics and the theory of turbulence.
This event is free of charge, including basic accommodation.
Limited number of travel grants will be awarded (deadline for application is 1.03.2016).

Graduate students and postdoctoral scholars from institutions in Europe, Canada, Japan and the United States are invited to apply for the 7th International Summer School on HPC Challenges in Computational Sciences, to be held June 26 – July 1, 2016, in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Interested students should apply by February 15th, 2016.

PRACE will organize in 2016 again summer placements at CINECA or other HPC centres across Europe to late stage undergraduates and early stage postgraduate students.
Travel, accommodation and a stipend will be provided to all successful applicants.

Eni posted a video: The combination of Seismic Imaging and HPC has assisted all of Eni's most recent exploration discoveries around the world.
Their calculation programs are the result of numerous research projects conducted in Eni with the collaboration of researchers Eni and developers from Universities, research centers and Supercomputing centers in Italy.

From February 24 to 26, SISSA will be hosting the “MHPC Workshop on High-Performance Computing”, a meeting that will draw some of the world’s leading names in “supercomputing”, among the most innovative fields of science, to Trieste. Participation is totally free
