In 2014, PRACE will organise its first Scientific and Industrial Conference – the first edition of the PRACE days - under the motto HPC for Innovation – when Science meets Industry. The conference combines the previously separate PRACE Scientific Conferences and PRACE Industrial Seminars and will bring together experts from academia and industry who will present their advancements in HPC-supported science and engineering.

PRACE is looking forward to making this event a tradition for the European HPC communities!

The PRACE days will be held in Barcelona at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) campus from Tuesday 20 to Thursday 22 May 2014.
The programme will include invited keynotes, scientific presentations and a poster session.
A Call for Contributions has been opened to select the scientific presentations and posters.
The PRACE Scientific and Industrial Awards as well as a prize for Best Poster will be presented.
The PRACE User Forum will meet on Tuesday afternoon.
The attendance fee is € 60. Travel and accommodation will not be reimbursed.

Call for Contributions
PRACE would like to receive contributions in the form of presentations and/or posters of excellent scientific merit.
Submissions should take the form of an extended abstract (one page), detailing the novelty or originality of the science or research project and the need for HPC to accomplish the results. The forward-looking achievements should demonstrate scientific discoveries, innovation in industry or address society’s grand challenges.
The deadline for submission of contributions is 31 January 2014.
