The main objective of the e-IRG (e-Infrastructure Reflection Group) initiative is to support the creation of a political, technological and administrative framework for an easy and cost-effective shared use of distributed electronic resources across Europe. Particular attention is directed towards grid computing, storage, and networking.
The e-IRG open workshop, under the auspices of the Italian Presidency of the European Union, will take place in Rome, in the headquarters of the Conference of the Rectors of the Italian Universities, from Monday 10 November 2014 at 11:00 until Tuesday 11 November 2014 (early afternoon).
The opening session includes keynotes by the EC and ESFRI. The three plenary tracks are:
Each track will include a panel discussion providing ample opportunity for interaction with the audience.
e-Infrastructure users, providers and policy makers are invited to attend the e-IRG workshop and to take part in the debates.
