we would like to inform you that we have recently updated several modules on Galileo100.
At the moment both the old and new modules can be visualized with the command "module av".
Please notice that, in some cases, with the update we have also changed the name of the module (to be more compliant with spack naming).
Below you can find the link between old and new names (old_name --> new_name):
#############################
COMPILERS:
gnu --> gcc
intel --> intel-oneapi-compilers
hpc-sdk --> nvhpc
LIBRARIES:
mkl --> intel-oneapi-mkl
netcdf --> netcdf-c
netcdff --> netcdf-fortran
pnetcdf --> parallel-netcdf
szip --> libszip
blas libraries can be found in openblas, netlib-xblas, netlib-lapack, intel-oneapi-mkl, nvhpc modules
lapack libraries can be found in netlib-lapack, openblas, intel-oneapi-mkl, nvhpc modules
mpi libraries can be found in intel-oneapi-mpi, openmpi modules
TOOLS: vtune --> intel-oneapi-vtune
###########################
On Thursday, June 16th, the old modules will be no longer visualized by the command "module av", but only through the command "modmap":
modmap -m <module_name>
In addition, old versions of applications and tools will be moved into the "archive" profile meaning that you will need to load the profile "archive" in order to use those old modules:
$ module load profile/archive
In order to use old modules of compilers and libraries you don't need to load any profile.
Below the list of old modules that next week we will move to the archive profile.
Applications: gromacs, nwchem, plumed
Tools: anaconda3, cdo, cmake,curl, eccodes, emacs, git, vtune
For any doubt or problem don't hesitate to write us to superc@cineca.it
Best regards
