Information about MARCONI maintenace operations

Dear Users,

We inform you that during the last stop of MARCONI have been applied most of the upgrades and patches needed to fix both the performance and instability issues that have been observed on the cluster. Only the upgrade of the switch FirmWare is still missing and will be performed in the following days.

After this upgrade, we highly reccommend the usage of Intel 2017 compiler and libraries (module available at the candidate profile on Marconi), as this is the only compiler version supporting the innovative Marconi's hardware.

In the following days we will reinstall of all the available libraries, tools and applications on Marconi with this last Intel compiler version. News about this will be posted via HPC-NEWS.
