European Researchers' Night

Dear Users,

This is to inform you that on September 29th the “Notte Europea dei Ricercatori” 2017 edition will take place. This is a project promoted by the European Commission where researchers from all over EU will gather to meet the public in an evening session devoted to scientific communication and fun. The purpose of these meetings is to fill the gap between the world of scientific research and the common people.

The scheduled programme is full of events, all over Italy. CINECA will attend to this initiative by means of the “Made in Science” projects, coordinated by Frascati Scienza, and “Society”, coordinated by University of Bologna.

CINECA will organize in Rome and in Bologna a series of keynotes and code camps in selected schools during the whole week. In the evening, staff will be available at the stands, hosted by “Scuderie Aldobrandini” in Frascati and by “Palazzo d’Accursio” in Bologna to show CINECA supercomputers and for Q&A sessions.

Moreover, by means of interactive games, CINECA will present to the visitors some simulations and videos to show how supercomputers work, international research projects and the interactive graphics that supports scientific research. Still on September 29th, a “scientific” show will be hosted by CINECA, full of nice games and experiments.
