DAVIDE: Start of pre-production phase

Dear Users,

This is to announce that D.A.V.I.D.E., the new HPC Cluster based on Power Architecture and coupled with NVIDIA Tesla Pascal GPUs with NVLink, has entered its pre-production phase. A preliminary Users Guide for this cluster can be found on our HPC Portal:

Please note that only the $HOME and $CINECA_SCRATCH storage areas are defined for each acitive users. No $WORK is currently defined.

Current production environment only incldudes the base profile of the modules. More moduled including applications and libraries are under construction. Queueing system on DAVIDE is based on the SLURM scheduler. For a quick guide and how to submit jobs, please refer to DAVIDE users' guide.

Please consider that during this pre-production phase a few upgrades of the production environment are possible and therefore some delays may occur.
